Johann Friedrich Agricola - Achille in Sciro

Johann Friedrich Agricola (1720–1774) is best known today as the author of an important vocal treatise. All the more remarkable is the first recording of his late Baroque festival opera Achille in Sciro (1765), which is being performed again for the first time in over 250 years by Theater Altenburg Gera under the direction of Gerd Amelung.
